We are committed to providing content designed to enhance the skills of young adults, increasing their chance of employability and a successful career.eastafrica

Around the world, employers are looking for people with better emotional skills, such as self-management, the ability to work under stressful conditions, interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in communication, presenting ideas, and negotiation. As soft skills and spoken English skills become as important as subject matter expertise, there is a need to build the competencies of our students and young professionals in what we define as Essential Workplace Skills.

Basic working knowledge of productivity tools and computers, along with knowledge of health and safety regulations, will give aspiring youth an edge in securing the right job.

Composite image of male mechanic writing on clipboardTechnical skills refer to a person’s skillset and the ability to perform a certain type of activity or task. Soft skills are a person’s ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers. Technical skills comprise the occupational requirement of a job and are mainly applicable at the workplace, while soft skills are broadly applicable both in and outside the workplace. Soft skills complement technical skills. They also complement many other activities that are outside the sphere of the workplace. Presently, in addition to standard qualification, soft skills are increasingly being sought after by employers. There are professions where soft skills prove to be more important than core occupational skills in the long term. Soft skills refer to a number of features such as etiquette, personal finance management, and communication that allow for personal and professional growth in employees. Studies suggest that soft skills are as important as hard skills in indicating job performance.

Our offerings have been aligned to employability skills under CTS and ATS with courses on:
– English Literacy
– IT Literacy
– Communication Skills
– Entrepreneurship Skills
